A by-no-means-exhaustive-list of things my dogs are afraid of

Calmer times.

Calmer times.

  1. The trash can lid that pops open and very. Slowly. Returns.

  2. Breaking down cardboard boxes for recycling. Cans in a recycling bag. Anything related to recycling. Obviously these dogs don’t believe in being eco friendly.

  3. Trucks of all sizes and colors.

  4. Obviously going to the vet, but we went this week to a new one in downtown Seattle and it was so nice! If you’re around downtown or Belltown, check out Third and Stewart Animal Wellness. The resident vet, Dr. Mona Radheshwar got our samples out the door and results back within 24 hours. Plus the facility is so spacious and there is a resident kitty cat who snoozes in the waiting room.

  5. Children. My god what these two must think of children, it’s baffling. They react like the witches in … well, The Witches.

  6. Apparently a ringing phone? I mean, they’re so Gen-Z. They hate phones.

  7. CBD/hemp treats. They hate them, and balk whenever I try to feed them. It’s to HELP THEM COPE WITH FIREWORKS and no. They’d rather be afraid of…

  8. Fireworks.

  9. Moving anything - the portable a/c, my office chair, the puzzle table, anything.

  10. The dogwalker. For crissakes you guys, she’s here FOR YOU. She LIKES YOU. Sheesh.

Some of the most important parts of pet parenthood are our memories, moments, or celebrations together. It could be adopting a pet and starting a life together, or the heartbreak when you must say goodbye. You can share your story by drafting it yourself, or hit me up to interview you. Email monpetitchewchew@gmail.com and we can get started.
