Table Scraps: Post-Pawlentine's Day

Hey y’all, how ya doin!

January came and went, and to be honest, February and Valentine’s Day just isn’t that great right about now. I noticed so many people were posting their Valentines (both human and furry, scaly, or hairy) this year, so that was sweet!

I, however, spent Valentine’s Day grossing out my friends and family… by popping a blackhead on Kitty’s ear. Who knew dogs could get blackheads? I thought something was growing, like a wart, but after some research, investigation, and my past experience of 20+ years of popping pimples (actually, maybe more?), well, I popped that sucker. And now it is gone. Only one day later.

And on that note, let’s not gross you out any further. Here’s some goodies from around the internerd - from me…. to you. Enjoy!

First of all, let’s start off with this - Tasty’s “We Tried To Make Sushi For Our Cats • Eating Your Feed,” inspired by the impossibly amazing Juns Kitchen (omg how he trained his cats is worth a watch, btw). Would you make sushi for your cats?

In related pet snacking news, I discovered DOG MACARONS! Bonne Filou is an adorable — and healthy! — snack for pups that look exactly like the human version. And if you bark at the price, just use code ROYALBARK at checkout and get 10% off your first purchase. Not too shabby for a treat that’s perfect for birthdays, gotcha days, and holidays.

Speaking of gifts, I keep getting pet figurines advertised to me from Scully & Scully (but not that Scully). They’re pretty expensive, but if you know someone who loves a fancy tchotchke and their pet, it might be a great fit?

But back to food. Chef Sohla El-Waylly judged different dairy additives for her dog Vito in this amazing post titled, My Dog Vito’s Refined Dairy Palate. I have the same issue with my dogs - they love dairy, but which one is the best? Also, I love you, Sohla. I truly do.

Okay, not too much more to cover — for pet-friendly furniture, I stumbled upon Inside Weather, and even more spectacularly, found this blog from The Trending Home which did all my work for me. Click through to read all about the furniture that is supposedly safe as saints from pet dander and tumbles. And finally, have you heard of the app, “Meet My Dog” (apple version here)? Not great reviews, but I’m wondering if they’ll refine it and get it going soon.

That’s it for February, lovers! Hope you’re safe & sound.

Love,
MPCC xx
