Table Scraps: Do we need a makeover?

One of the options

I’ve been kinda dragging my feet on MPCC as of late, and one thing I’ve been putting off is… a refresh. A redesign. A re-do, if you will. I’m partial to the logo I originally created — I really do love it; it’s clean and easy to replicate.

But…. WHAT ABOUT THESE!?

I actually like all of them, but the dog/cat silhouette (also the hero image of this post) really gets me the most. Thoughts?

So this past week, Kitty got socked in the face with a small tennis ball. It wasn’t my fault! We were playing inside, and the tennis ball ricocheted off the wall and basically punched her right in the eyeball. She screamed in pain (omg when they scream, don’t you just want to die) and I went full vet tech — I had some leftover steroid eye goop that I put on her eye and I put on a cold compress, a hot compress, I gave her all the cheeses and the love. She wouldn’t leave my side, and I knew it was because she was scared and wanted me to stop the pain.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT, I DID.

I stopped the dang pain with that goop! She looked almost right as rain the next morning, but I called a vet to visit anyway. Then we got snow, yada yada, anyway — they’re coming on Saturday to follow-up on her condition. I know you’re like, what service did you use (no you’re not, this is really turning into a tldr post). I found TheVets and will be profiling them apres-le-visite. Cross your paws, I really am stoked to discover vets who make house calls, especially when I don’t drive.

So that’s it for this frigid (in Seattle) day! More to come in the next weeks about all kinds of things. Well, all kinds of pet-related things. And possibly a new lewk for this little passion project of mine.

Cheers,
MPCC xx
